Joe Crowley. As part of her role as the “future of the party,” she has been making the media rounds recently to promote her socialist views, yet in doing so has displayed an even more shocking degree of economic and political ignorance that should utterly shame our nation’s educational system. Conservative talk radio king Rush Limbaugh roasted Ocasio-Cortez on his program on Monday by highlighting and then shredding a couple of clips — as well as a tweet — of her recent appearance on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” and took great exception to the fact that this rather ignorant young woman boasts an economics degree from Boston University. “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a graduate from Boston U, she has a degree in economics, and it’s clear she doesn’t know anything,” Limbaugh stated in a segment his website headlined “The Ignorant Incoherence of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.” “If this level, this degree of complete economic ignorance can get you a degree in economics from a major American university, then something is drastically, terribly wrong.” He proceeded to play a sound bite from her appearance that was in essence a mish-mash of words and liberal cliches about the rich paying their “fair share” and how the country could afford to fund her “Medicare for all” scheme if only it just raised taxes on corporations and the wealthy. Following the audio clip, Limbaugh proclaimed, “Ladies and gentlemen, this is wandering aimlessly through our vocabulary in dire search of coherence. This is entirely incoherent — and to call it ignorant is to give it too much credit. But that’s not all. There is more.” “We have just come off eight years of economic stagnation. No economic growth to speak of,” he continued. “We have had tax increases out the wazoo in the past eight years, including all of the new taxes brought on by the government taking over health care with Obamacare.” Limbaugh then did an impersonation of former President Barack Obama telling American workers that their lost jobs were never coming back, no matter what Donald Trump and his “magic wand” would do, and how liberals like Obama and Ocasio-Cortez thought America in decline was the “new normal” and it was up to the government to redistribute the nation’s remaining resources more equitably. “Okay. So we’ve come off eight years of that kind of thing, exactly what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to return to,” Limbaugh stated, as he proceeded to point out how, in just a year and a half, Trump has restored lost jobs and boosted the economy to such an extent that tax revenues have increased even as individual and corporate rates were reduced. “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her education — economics degree — would literally kill this economy, and she is clueless! She hasn’t the slightest idea, because all she has been educated to understand is liberal cliche,” Limbaugh stated, as he turned his attention to one of her tweets — ripping it apart point by point — to help prove just how ignorant the fresh face of the Democrat Party truly is.
