Finding both A and H haplogroups among the Paracas skulls takes another stone out of the wall built by the promoters of the Bering land bridge and Clovis first theories of New World settlement.
These skulls are passing strange. I've looked at all the 2-D images with a friend that used to teach anatomy. On the screen it's obvious that these skulls differ not only with human skulls, but also with the cranial anatomy of other hominids, hominins and known primates - even the monkeys.
All of them show a parietal division (left and right plates of the the skull) that the Paracas skull do not have. The Paracas skulls have mass and cranial volumes greater than any comparable primate skulls. They also differ in the placement of the foramen magnum (hole for the spinal cord) and the shape of the zygomatic arch.
The Paracas collection is way unique. Thanks for the post. ; )
