Here are three photos of this thing that I took with my cell phone a couple of days ago. Believe it or not,but it is inching it's way up a upright steel pole by apparently "sticking" to the pole somehow using what looks to be wooden twig legs. As you can see in the photos,it lives in a shell that looks EXACTLY like a piece of dead tree bark,and attaches itself to whatever it is climbing using the "bark legs". It then extends it's tiny pink body out of the shell and uses multiple rows of tiny little legs to extend the body an inch or so,and then "walks" the "tree bark" body up to the point where the entire pink body and head are invisible again. Then it repeats the process until it gets to where it is going. While it is doing this,you can see a tiny little jaw opening and closing as it seems to be trying to "taste" what it is climbing. Best damn disguise I have ever seen. I have never seen or even heard of anything like this before,and am trying to find out what the hell this remarkable little insect is. Ok,I can no longer log in to my image shack account because they want to charge me now. Can anyone tell me where to get a free account so I can store photos to post on the web?

For some reason I can't begin to understand how Facebook operates. Can never find anything there. Not even the stuff I wrote. As for YouTube,I go there all the time and never had a clue you could use it to host photos. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
No,but someone identified it for me on another web page. It's a moth that destroys hardwoods. The one I saw just happened to be trying to come out of it's cocoon to morph into being a moth. Destructive little booger.
