If Israel could attack Hezbollah and/or Iran and win decisively, they would have done so. Iran has Mach 14 missiles. Hezbollah is very close to Israel and can launch missiles from inside Israeli territory to take out their defenses thanks to their extensive network of tunnels. Hezbollah has sufficient missile strength to burn Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground. They could also take down the Israeli electrical power grid for 6 months. No Israeli is willing to pay that price.
