So, the GSM is responsible for Jupiter suddenly creating 12 new moons, all of which are orbiting in the opposite direction of it's established moons? Ya wanna take a stab at that one, Neil deGrasse Tyson?

Do you think maybe you are getting a bit far out there on the fringes? Don't be frantic. Some of those "moons" are barely a mile across. It seems there are now 79 moons orbiting Jupiter. ;)
This is what I found about the 12 new moons orbiting Jupiter?
In a curveball of cosmic proportions, astronomers went looking for a hypothetical planet on the far fringes of our solar system, and instead found 12 new moons dancing around Jupiter.
To be clear, these moons are no Ganymede, the largest moon in the solar system. Theyre tiny, some barely a mile across, and they are tracing all kinds of weird paths around the giant world.
