A Florida prosecutor who oversees cases against sexual predators is facing a shoplifting charge after surveillance video caught her swiping $43 worth of cosmetics from a grocery store, police said.

Stacey Honowitz, 56, was suspended from her $108,000-a-year- job as a Broward County assistant state attorney pending an investigation and was charged with misdemeanor theft, the Sun Sentinel reported.

Security footage released by the Aventura Police Department shows Honowitz shopping with her parents and daughter on Saturday at a Publix grocery store in the small city 20 miles north of Miami.

She is seen browsing the cosmetics aisle placing the beauty products into her purse. She later paid a cashier $125 for groceries and then got in line again to purchase a lottery ticket.

That is exactly why we need more first amendment auditors. Even if the only consequence is exposure we can expose them and put them on youtube for others to see, ask people that watch to get involved , and make their grievances known to the right people.

It is working. Cops in certain areas are holding themselves to high standards, bad cops are getting drummed out. Corrupt schools are getting exposed. And above all the fusion center and the FBI have taken notice and begun trying to utilize confidential informants and counter intelligence operations. Thing is that it is an organic movement. We all have cell phone cameras and youtube channels are easy to make. We have no leaders that can be targeted. Leaders cant be manufactured to disrupt us.... Sarah Palin aint gonna bring this movement to a screeching halt. Its just ordinary people filming everything thats legally allowed to be filmed, cops, court house lobbies, bases, stations, anything that is in public is fair game and that includes all public servants when acting in their public service capacity whether they like it or not.

If this bitch goes back to work for us I hope someone will be there to film her and ask her about her special treatment and why she felt entitled and deserving of special treatment us lowly normal citizens would never recieve.

Know your rights, film everything.

To be honest, I don't spend a lot of time around the people you mention, and haven't had problems with them any time I've had to. Hell, even the local license bureau was friendly and efficient last time I renewed.
