Most Americans, perhaps 80% believe the media and therefore they believe in man made Global warming. And, even as the temperature drops 80% of those will deny all facts to the contrary including several years of lower temperatures. They will change their beliefs of only if there is a mini-ice-age after ten years of very cold temperatures.
I don't know what planet you people spent the summer on,but it has been insanely,record-setting hot on the planet Earth.

I'm not so sure it will freeze in Iowa any time soon.
But we worked Lollapalooza in Des Moines. It was so hot this girl passed out in the line and thumped her head on the sidewalk. We called the Ambulance for her, but she didn't want to lose her place in line.
If they don't want to go, you can't make them. But if she was out cold they could have taken her.
When we went inside the venue I saw a black guy I knew from Woodstock 94. He washed my face off there after someone threw a wad of muddy straw and hit me in the face.
He was on the crew cart. When he saw me, he stopped the cart, jumped off and ran over and gave me a big hug. He said, "Tex! How ya doing?" He remembered me. And I am lucky myself to remember this now. ;)
