China summoned the US ambassador on Saturday to lodge an official protest over sanctions imposed by the United States against a Chinese military organisation for buying Russian fighter jets and missiles, state media said.
The announcement came a day after China called on the United States to withdraw the sanctions or "bear the consequences".
The spat adds to tensions between the two global powers over trade, China's treatment of religious groups and the Asian country's claims to disputed islands in the South China Sea.
They just wanted some of the latest RU technology to copy and improve for themselves.
They can steal ours, but they have to purchase Russian.
The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable. ~ H. L. Mencken
China: it is hard to believe but we have underestimated Putins ambitions to forge into a closer alliance with China. In fact, he did. When he did, he has officially screwed all of Russias traditional (old) allies like India and Vietnam. For Putin, India and Vietnam are no longer worthy for their economic developments and Russians have given no care on them anymore. Hence Russia sells mostly modern equipments for China and they have continuously sold superior and modern new weapons for China, exporting gas for China to accept Chinese monetary to revive Russias corrupt economy. In turn, Russia has pledged to support China in territorial disputes with its fellow Asian nations.
