Are we sure it's not photoshopped. There were persistent rumours overseas about a Fifth plane, even extending to it being shot down over the Atlantic, as it was heading towards a USN aircraft carrier off the Eastern Coast. Which may account for the mysterious flight path of the interceptors, they turned south/ southeast, away from NYC.

"Debunking 'Caveman' conspiracy theories since 2002" No, but I have heard it overseas, in India, and was also apparently circulating in Europe. Digging thru the archives of English papers, Indian papers and Der Spiegel in Germany may unearth a report or two. However, tracking the flight paths of the interceptors does show some anomalies, especially the turn to the south. This, I believe can be unearthed. If my memory gets jogged about this, will ping you with the info.

It could be "normal" traffic, before anyone had a chance to re-route aircraft. Any pilot would try to sneak a peek, anyway. I'd guess that to be a Continental aircraft.
Gee whiz! Doesn't everyone know that's plane that had the superduper superbrainiac conspirators on it, the ones who remote-controlled the other four planes? No one can prove it wasn't, right? That means it was, right? Maybe it was those 2000 Joos who didn't show up on work on 9-11, making their way to Israel.

I think it's a fake. I've seen lots and lots of footage (go to 911eyewitness for an extended view). That's the plane coming in to hit the second tower and they have reversed the image.
