My eldest son is one of the 25,000. I'll let you know if he finishes; his only goal.

How is your son getting to 6th and Figueroa at six in the morning? Seems like there will be a million people down there and not much parking. Do they open the garages to the big office buildings?

I dunno. His brother was going with him, but I just found out they didn't go afterall; the office to sign up yesterday, closed earlier than they thought it did. He didn't sound all that heartbroken. ;)

The wheelchair racers just took off. They are fast!

Why should we hear about body bags, and deaths...I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that? ~Barbara Bush on ABC's "Good Morning America," March 18, 2003.

The runners wear sneakers here.

In what type of racing do the runners wear metal shoes?

Hint; Santa Anita
