While many of us would feel downcast at being turned down for a Tinder date, one man's potential love interested had a very good reason - because she was having a baby. Brad Galloway, from Richmond, North Yorkshire, has caused something of a Twitter storm after sharing a screenshot of his conversation with a match on the dating app.
When he asked his potential date what she was up to on New Year's Eve, she told him: 'Having my baby'.
The chat has unsurprisingly gone viral with 127,000 likes.
One Twitter user posted a picture of a woman's painted baby bump simply captioned, 'Tinder Surprise,' while another penned, 'Stop it. I have no words.'
Brad started off the chat with a fairly mundane question of: 'What are you doing today?'.
The shocked man probably assumed his potential date would reply saying she was out down the pub with friends or at a family gathering, but instead she responded: 'Am in hospital.'
Caring Brad checked that she wasn't hurt in any way...but nothing could have prepared him for her reply.
'Having my baby ah,' she said. 'Gutted I'm not out tonight.'
Captioning the screenshot of his chat, Brad captioned it 'No fun this Tinder.' The funny message has now been retweeted over 21,000 times and has been liked by a staggering 127, 000 Twitter users.
'Gutted she's not going out. Wow,' said one user, gobsmacked by the reply, while another put the response down to 'modern dating.'
Others commented 'Oh my Christ' and 'brilliant' - summing up the unexpected reply perfectly.
Meanwhile, a large proportion of people were so flabbergasted, no words could sum up their reaction - just pure laughter.
'HAHAHAHAHAHA,' wrote two users, while another added 'LOOOOL.'
