Democrats were pushing through legislation for universal background checks on all firearms purchases — but they objected to a Republican amendment that would make these same background checks alert federal authorities when an illegal immigrant tried to illegally purchase a firearm.

Well they are the party that clearly cares more for Illegals than American Citizens. Over 70,000 die from Mexican Heroin and other drugs, over 4,000 are murdered year after year by Illegals , Yearly Hundreds of Thousands of Americans are victims of Horrible crimes at the hands of an Illegal. When Social Security , Medicare , Veterans Benefits , Government Pensions etc all start getting reduced because the Illegals have been doing with-out and must be fairly taken care of - then and maybe then Americans will start to understand the takeover and the end of America as they know it
