60% of US money is overseas. We printed trillions of dollars to buy things from overseas for free because we have so many legal and illegal aliens driving down wages. When, not if, foreigners send their US dollars back to the US, our money supply will increase 150% overnight. If only 10% of all money held overseas is sent back to the US, the domestic US money supply would increase 15% overnight. And that would kick off a worldwide inflation and force foreigners to dump dollars and buy commodities as stock markets decline sharply.

Actually, the first and most significant gun ownership restrictions in Germany after WW I were put through during the Weimar republic that preceded the NS takeover of power.
It was the people's representatives that took most of the people's guns away. Heh heh.
