To be fair, many of the poorer parts of quebec do use dirt instead of salt on the roads in winter time as a cost saving measure.

Years and years ago I bought a used 1972 AMC Hornet station wagon. It had a weird "shelf" an inch or so just underneath the top of the front fenders. They were packed full of road debris and caused the fenders to rust through.

Given that, Elon Musk is no Henry Ford, GM, Chrysler, etc. There's bound to be a learning curve.

One of these days the US military won't be able to prop up Tesla stock.

That's problematic, if I understand correctly, SpaceX is being used by the government.

Yes, I could forgive an electronics genius for not knowing squat about auto body design.

Musk should, however, have had the resources to find an expert in auto body design. Perhaps he just hired a comic book artist for the job?
