Once again Judicial Watch is doing the heavy lifting.
Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch announced Thursday it obtained 339 pages of very heavily redacted records from the DOJ that show former top Justice Department official Bruce Ohr regularly communicating with former British spy and dossier author Christopher Steel after the FBI terminated Steele for breaking FBI informant protocol by speaking to the media.
Judicial Watch obtained these documents from a March 2018 FOIA lawsuit against the Justice Department.
The documents reveal Bruce Ohr repeatedly thanked Christopher Steele for updates and assured him that he would pass along the info to his colleagues.
Bruce Ohr acted as a liaison for the FBI and Steele and set up meetings with Steele and regularly spoke to him over the phone.
