President Donald Trump’s "Make America Great Again" rally in Grand Rapids tomorrow night will be his first major appearance since the summary of the Mueller investigation reportedly cleared the president and his campaign of colluding with Russia.

Trump supporters are more amped up than ever as Executive Director of the Kent County GOP told FOX 17 that news of the conclusions of the Mueller investigation will fuel an already energetic crowd at the rally. Meanwhile, Michigan Democrats in Congress aren't as quick to say that the investigation is actually over. They want the full Mueller report and its underlying documents to be made public.

The rally will be held at Van Andel Arena at 7:00 pm Thursday.

Trump came to Michigan several times during his run in the 2016 election. He won all but eight counties in 2016. Muskegon and Kalamazoo counties were the only two counties in West Michigan won by Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Poster Comment:

Will President Trump be sucking up to Justin Amash trying to get his endorsement, or will he blast Amash and endorse some lightweight mainstream GOP neocon replacement?

Stay tuned to the Grand Rapids Rally for further developments. (1 image)

The 8 House Republicans who voted against Trump’s border wall - The Hill, Tal Axelrod - 12/21/18

The House on Thursday passed a stopgap government funding bill by a 217-185 vote that would stave off a partial government shutdown.

Its inclusion of $5.7 billion in border wall funding, however, likely makes it dead on arrival in the Senate, leaving both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue without a backup plan as President Trump digs his heels in on his demands for wall funding.

Here are the eight House Republicans who voted against the measure.

Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.)

Amash, an outspoken fiscal conservative and member of the House Freedom Caucus, was one of the two among the group, including several firebrands, to vote against the measure and oppose border wall funding.

“This massive, wasteful spending bill—stuffed with unrelated items—passed 217-185. It’s amazing how some wall funding causes my fellow Republicans to embrace big government. Watch out if Democrats attach wall funding to Medicare for All. The bill could be called Medicare for Wall,” he said about the stopgap bill.

“I am not one of those weak-spirited, sappy Americans who want to be liked by all the people around them. I don’t care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do. The important question is whether they are in a position to do anything about it. My affections, being concentrated over a few people, are not spread all over Hell in a vile attempt to placate sulky, worthless shits.” - William S Burroughs

Born in Grand Rapids, and raised in Kentwood, Michigan, Amash is the son of a Palestinian Christian father and a Syrian Christian mother.[16]

His father, Attallah, is a business owner, whose family immigrated to the United States in 1956[17] through the sponsorship of a Christian pastor and his family. His mother, Mimi, is a Syrian immigrant to the United States.[18][19]

Amash attended Kelloggsville Christian School in Kelloggsville and graduated as class valedictorian from Grand Rapids Christian High School. He graduated from the University of Michigan magna cum laude with a B.A. degree in economics and earned his J.D. degree at the University of Michigan Law School in 2005.[19] Amash admires economists F. A. Hayek and Frédéric Bastiat.[20]

Amash is married and the father of three children. He is an Orthodox Christian in the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America.[21]

After graduating from the University of Michigan, he became a consultant to his family's business. He worked as a corporate attorney for his family's business for a year before being elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2008.[22][23]

That's plenty bad, but I believe that Amnesty for Wall is what they're after.

Even worse!

At least this kid was born here. When I lived in Chicago, this Lebanese Christian family moved here. One of the kids we called "Camel Tony". He was usually in trouble with the cops. Knowing him is why I can swear in Arabic. LOL
