Anything to do with the Chicago Outfit helps me to remember growing up in Chicago since the meningitis wiped out a lot of my memory.
The way I got in the page was telling a story about an old guy I knew who was knocking over speak-easy's during Prohibition. He told me Capone put the hit on them. So they took it on the lamb to Boston. He said they got back about a month later and Capone's boys grabbed them and brought them in front of Big Al. He told me, "We were standing there with our hats in our hands, "We're sorry Mr. Capone. We won't ever do it again." And Capone says, "Yeah? Well hit somebody else's joints. Now get outta here."
I would say they got off pretty easy A lot of those guys got cement over shoes and taken for a swim in the lake.
