O’Rourke earned much of his popularity in Democratic circles by running against Ted Cruz in Texas. Every political pundit, late night host, Hollywood celebrity, and Fake News media member lined up behind his radical “progressive” campaign. Now he’s turning that fame into a budding presidential campaign. But in an interview with the Washington Post, he questioned whether or not the Constitution could still be used to manage the country. Fox News reports: Former Texas Senate candidate Beto O’Rourke faced across-the-board criticism on Tuesday after an unflattering interview in The Washington Post portrayed him as equivocal and unsure on a variety of substantive policy issues — and included a comment that seemed to question the modern-day relevance of the U.S. Constitution. O’Rourke, 46, is widely considered a possible 2020 presidential contender, after falling only a few percentage points shy of dethroning incumbent Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz in the 2018 midterm elections. But his relative lack of experience and expertise has emerged as a central objection to his prospective candidacy. And at one point in the two-hour chat with The Post’s Jenna Johnson, O’Rourke openly wondered whether the U.S. can “still be managed by the same principles that were set down 230-plus years ago” in the Constitution. The mainstream media has remained mum on their golden boy questioning the foundation of our country. Beto accidentally revealed his total disregard for the Constitution and he is getting away with it. When you are sworn into office as a Congressman, Senator, or President, you swear an oath to uphold the Constitution. How can voters trust Beto O’Rourke to defend the Constitution if he has no respect for it? If Beto O’Rourke does run in 2020, President Trump should wipe the floor with him.
