It wasnt so long ago that Venezuela was the wealthiest nation in the entire of South America. Today, half of their population lives in extreme poverty. So, the question is How did they end up there? What did their government do so wrong to destroy an economy in so little time? Today, we are gonna tell you the story.
"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brush fires of freedom in the minds of men." -- Samuel Adams (1722-1803)
"Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God." -- Thomas Jefferson
Venezuela would be fine if we weren't trying so desperately to destroy them and put them back on the USA plantation.
That is what Hugo Chavez was all about, getting Venezuela off the U.S. plantation and keeping it off. Now I hear inflation rate is so high the menus in restaurants have strips of paper taped on with prices. When prices increase they just change the slip of paper. A lot cheaper that way.
Venezuela's oil reserves are larger than those of Saudi Arabia. Venezuela sent a barge load of heating oil to Boston at a 40% discount. That would cover the cost of distribution. ;)
"When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one." Edmund Burke
Since US has been too short-sighted (for over a century now) to help those countries, maybe Russia and China can get it done.
The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable. ~ H. L. Mencken
