We’re in a carbon drought.

That is according to Professor William Happer of Princeton University. The renowned physicist says when it comes to carbon dioxide, there’s more good than bad. He goes on to say most of carbon dioxide’s effect has already happened. He points to the logarithmic dependence of temperature on carbon dioxide levels.

Happer says the unique properties of carbon dioxide mean that current levels would need to double for another one-degree increase in temperature and they’d have to double again for another one degree rise.

CO2 sanity bump.

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken

Water vapor, not CO2, is earth's greenhouse gas. CO2 is a trace gas and at only 1 part per 300 in the earth's atmosphere, CO2 has no measurable effect on temperature. The earth's atmosphere has been losing CO2 for billions of years, mostly by the conversion of CO2 into carbonate minerals such as limestone.

500 million years ago there was 12 to 20 times as much CO2 in the earth's atmosphere and the temperature was about the same as not. In fact, the earth is now CO2 starved and the earth need's more, double to several times as much CO2, not less CO2.
