The United States says it is deploying an amphibious assault ship and a Patriot missile battery to the Middle East just a few days after it sent an aircraft carrier strike group and a bomber task force to the region. “The Acting Secretary of Defense has approved the movement of USS Arlington (LPD-24) and a Patriot battery to US Central Command (CENTCOM) as part of the command’s original request for forces from earlier this week,” the Pentagon said in a statement on Friday. "These assets will join the USS Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group and a US Air Force bomber task force in the Middle East region in response to indications of heightened Iranian readiness to conduct offensive operations against US forces and our interests," the statement added. AFAIK, Turkey, China and Iraq have vowed to keep buying oil from Iran. Likely others will defy Emperor Donald's Imperial Decree too. It's not really Trump doing it. It's Bolton, Pompeo, and the deep state, which I suppose includes Israel. Left on his own, Trump wouldn't be doing this, but he's surrounded himself with the swamp.
A Patriot Missile battery? American missiles are worthless. Iran has built their own version of the S-400. They have both a Mach 14 SRBM and a Mach 14 IRBM. And they have an unstoppable cruise missile with an 800 mile range. I read the US Marines were given a missile with a 100 mile range. Wow! The Iranians aren't frightened. Only of nuclear weapons.
