I guess like many labels, the meaning is a matter of interpretation, depending on your view of history.
Those words and the people that identify with them have undergone a lot of changes over the centuries. (There's decent sized library there.)
Nevertheless, there are many today that identify with "jew" or "gentile" or "christian" or "evangelelical" or what have you. The interesting thing is contemplating what all these named forces will do.
