Over the next week or 2, as I have time, the web site will be migrated to a new hosting service where I'll have complete control. 4um will be physically hosted in Tornoto with a web service provider I've been using for a number of years.

If I do things right, then there will be just one scheduled interruption when the site is taken off line and the database migrated to the new server. Simultaneously, the domain name will change to point to the new server's IP address, but that change needs to propagate over the net so the domain names" freedom4um.com" and "www.freedom4um.com" won't switch over immediately but would take maybe 15 minutes or a couple hours. But I will have a new domain name that will work immediately which is "tor.freedom4um.com.", "tor" being short for Toronto.

That's all if everything goes right. I will be messing with some things ahead of time and if I screw something up, then you may see 4um go offline. Probably not, but just FYI.

4um will become a secure & encrypted site at the new location, so it will use "https" protocol instead of the non-encrypted "http". The best benefit of this is that passwords and private mail will be encrypted while data goes over the general internet.

I'll post updates on this as appropriate.

Toronto? Canada??

1. How will Canada's politically-correct government affect topic posts/comments??

2. What language will be off limits - besides the previously banned word 'nigger'?? Will questioning the scope and breadth of the alleged 'Holoco$t' be verboten??

3. Will Canadian government be watching freedom4um 24/7/365 for violating Canadian speech laws???

Inquiring minds want to know....

Toronto? Canada??

Last I checked, yes, Canada.

The other choices were Singapore, Tokyo and somewhere in Germany. And of course the USA. Canada seemed the best for the moment.

But it is a US company so the geograhic location might not matter much as long as it's with the that company.

No new rules.

I expect more location options worldwide. It can be moved at any time. A worst case scenario would mean the web site would not be allowed to broadcast from there in which case, I move it.
