A mother’s witty and sarcastic Facebook post has gone viral after she used it to wage war on the neighborhood kids who covered her house in toilet paper.

On June 14, Aubrey Dupree Seymour, of San Clemente, Calif., posted a photo of her front yard in the “San Clemente Life” Facebook Group, in which she described the toilet paper decorating her home as an “AMAZING job,” and said the youths went “ABOVE and BEYOND.” The post earning thousands of likes, shares and delighted comments thanking her for letting “kids be kids” and not taking their prank too seriously.

In her post, she challenged the kids, and warned them to watch out for retaliation. “Game on my friend, we too have a Cotsco size supply of TP,” Seymour wrote.

Seymour told Fox LA that her family knows the culprits, and that they used 72 rolls of toilet paper for the job.

“They are wonderful boys that have known my son since elementary school, but don’t think we won’t be getting them back,” she told the channel.

According to Fox LA, Seymour had one son clean up as much as he could off the ground, and saved the rest for later because the family was at a volleyball tournament all weekend. In a Facebook comment on June 17, she posted an image of both her kids working on the yard.

Her Facebook post immediately became popular, with people volunteering to help her cover the kids’ homes in toilet paper, and pointing out that the mom and her kids must be well-loved to be such a target.

“Fantastic attitude! Love it and miss those days! Count me in. I’ll even pitch in another Costco size of TP. Let’s show them how it’s really done,” one person commented.

“I love your response. Now you know... Your home will only get TPd if you or your children are truly loved by others. This is the best sign of affection,” another added.

People praised Seymour’s positive attitude and pointed out how important it is to be able to take a joke and have fun.

“I am so glad this post exists! Great to see people who want to let kids be kids in good fun. A sense of humor is one of the secrets to happiness! You rock!” a comment reads.

Seymour told Fox LA she was “blown away” by the positive response. “My response was not to get angry,” she told the channel in an email. “Nowadays we are so quick to condemn kids for the things they do. Trust me my kids are not perfect but there are so many choices kids can make that are not always the best.”

Seymour did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s request for comment.
