Irans foreign minister Javad Zarif is blasting the United States unhealthy fixation with his country and condemning the Trump administrations efforts to press European countries to pull out of the nuclear agreement with Tehran.
Mohammad Javad Zarif addressed the Munich Security Conference on Sunday, a day after U.S. Vice President Mike Pence prodded European powers Germany, France and Britain to follow Washington in withdrawing from the deal and to stop undermining U.S. sanctions.
The U.S. withdrew unilaterally last year from the 2015 agreement, which offers Iran sanctions relief for limiting its nuclear program.
Zarif says we have long been the target of an unhealthy fixation, lets say obsession from the U.S. He said Pence arrogantly demanded that Europe must join the United States in undermining its own security and breaking its obligations.

To understand the current situation in Iran, you must first look at its history since WW II.
The Allies met in Tehran during the war and Chiang Kai-shek was present at these meetings.
Then in 1953, the lawfully elected Prime Minister of Iran was overthrown and the CIA puppet Shah Reza Pahlavi was installed.
He ruled until 1979 when a student uprising led to the capture of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran and the 444 day hostage standoff. The hostages were released after the inauguration of Ronald Reagan.
Jimmy Carter did try to rescue the hostages using Seal Teams, but 2 of the choppers crashed in the desert and the mission was aborted.
Frozen Iranian assets in the United States were finally returned to Iran. I hear they were sent enough cash to fill a 20 foot cube. We may never know the exact amount released. ;)
