A US judge has ruled that WikiLeaks was fully entitled to publish the Democratic National Congress (DNC) emails, which means no law was broken. The ruling is highly significant as it could impact upon the US extradition proceedings against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, as well as the ongoing imprisonment of whistleblower Chelsea Manning.

Wow, fantastic. But where does he go if they can't extradite him?

Well, there's that, but there's also the charge that Assange assisted Manning in breaking the cyber security that Manning did. And the DNC emails were not officially classified material as the other material was.

Still a ways to go.

I'm sure Assange has long since figured it all out, but if the UK courts release him and he's free to go, he still has Ecuador citizenship as well as Australia. Obviously he won't feel too safe in Ecuador, and Australia might not even be to keen to have him back. He may well take a lead from Snowden and go to Russia, which I think is presently not hard to get into even for non-politically persecuted. In fact he might get a good welcome there.

I'd think Russia would be his best bet.

I am not sure if Assange's passport has been revoked like Edward Snowden's. It is possible that Putin would allow him to come into Russia.

After all, Snowden is already there and Assange in Russia would be another needle in the U.S. Voo Doo doll. ;)

Why can't it just go that way starting at 9AM! But the poor guy looks like they've given him a lobotomy or something?
