The government can and does impose its will upon people whenever it deems it necessary, while Big Pharma lays in the weeds and waits for you to get sick (excepting vaccines).

People, at least currently, can choose to utilize other means of maintaining their health. That's not to say both government and big pharma aren't deserving of the disgust and loathing most have for both entities.
