In the Chess Game of the Century, a 13 yr old Bobby Fischer showed the world that he was going to be a force in the chess world. Enjoy the commentary and the game.
I attended college with a guy that played Bobby Fisher when he was 13 and Fisher was 12. At 12 Fisher was a master chess player. They played 6 games. He won one and and tied one and lost the other four. However, because he did that well against Fisher he got the next higher rating what at time, I believe was expert or just under master. I watch him play two people. He laid on the bed with a pillow over his head and won both games than he set the boards back up and replayed the games.
I played him a couple of games but it was hopeless, but he did say I played well. He told me Fisher was playing a Russian master and said, "I'll spot you a rook." Insulted the Russian. Even Fisher couldn't spot a master chess player a rook and win.

I bet the Russian was insulted. LOL
