AltCensored is Capturing, Saving Censored YouTube Videos, Channels The hack Orwellian platform YouTube took down more than 100,000 individual videos during the second quarter of the year. It has been run-rating 30,000 a month since. The number of comments removed during the same period doubled to over 500 million, due in part to its dubious new “hate-speech policy.” YouTube channels serving conspiracy inquiry or unapproved political messages are labelled as “hate speech” and shut down by the thousands. Yet, the promotion of murder, drugs, criminal activity and gang life to young people is perfectly acceptable to the hypocrites at Google/Alphabet. We discussed this in our post YouTube Hypocrisy 101 and Rapster Felon Bobby Shmurda. On Oct. 17, the large, politically moderate and quite-reasonable “Red Ice TV” channel was deleted. Red Ice’s crime was focusing on real issues and real news. Can’t have that. Red Ice was popular, garnering more than 45 million views, more than 326,000 subscribers and nearly 2,000 videos. Fortunately, Red Ice has preserved their work and is still on the alternative channels. Demonstrating the Streisand Effect, their subscribers have picked up noticeably since the ban. Censors acknowledge it selectively for videos that don’t counter Orwellian narratives. The idea, it seems, is to identify and target certain channels for the penalty box, with initial strikes designed to encourage self- censorship.
