Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban called out Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) over the weekend for "misleading the public" on her socialist policy proposals and for diverting attention from her own wealth.

According to her filings she made 900k last year which means her family earns more than 2x the amount needed to be a 1 percenter. She paid 25.5% of that in taxes which is less than the % I paid in taxes (29.85%)

Forbes says her networth is north of $12m . That's being rich. Filthy rich. I'm sure it's richer than she ever imagined she would be. Good for her. She earned it. It puts her millions above the threshold for being part of the richest 1 percent by networth in our country.

After engaging in discussion about the potential negative impacts of Warren's wealth tax — which targets Americans with household assets greater than $50 million — Cuban set his sights on the Democratic presidential contender, noting that she is the wealthiest of the 2020 group aside from billionaire Tom Steyer. "The reality for @ewarren is that this is as much to divert attention from her income and net worth as anything else. Other than steyer she is the wealthiest of all the Dem Candidates. By far," Cuban wrote.

Cuban, a billionaire in his own right, then highlighted just how wealthy Warren actually is.

He then pointed out that Warren's Medicare for All plan is likely unrealistic.

And good for her for wanting to provide care for all . But she has several fundamental issues in her plans. First she needs quite a few things to pass Congress in order for any of it to work. Is it realistic to think any of it will pass let alone all of it ?

Cuban then charged that Warren is willingly "misleading the public."

Let's be real. @ewarren probably is the smartest of all the candidates. Intellectually she knows she is misleading the public . That the chances of getting all the necessary line items she needs for M4All approved within 4 years are nearly impossible.

In the end, Cuban said, "I'm fine with paying more taxes. ... But the Senator is like every other candidate. She is selling shiny objects to divert attention from reality."

On the other hand, Cuban said that the approach of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is much more honest than Warren's. "[B]ernies approach is in my opinion far more honest than her's. Bernie basically has said we will tax as much as we can and figure how to allocate the money to pay from there. She knows she is misleading people saying her plan could work," Cuban said.

All Republicans have to do is to go to professional sports teams where athletes make $2 million a year for a few years. Just explain to them that any Democrat who taxes them at confiscatory rates for a few years will be extorting them for everything they worked for since they were 8 years-old including all that unpaid time in high school and college athletes. A lot of these athletes are black and Latino. They have wide circle of friends at every college in the US from Ohio State to Grambling. What happens if you piss these people off.

Then the Republicans can go to Hollywood and to the music industry. Some musicians only get one hit song or maybe two. And they go all over the world hitting 150 towns in a year. They won't like this either. (1 image)

Taxing capital gains prior to sale - isn't that like taxing on winning from the lottery had one bought a winning ticket, but didn't? The price could go down, does the IRS refund the money in such a case? Warren is an idiot.

“I am not one of those weak-spirited, sappy Americans who want to be liked by all the people around them. I don’t care if people hate my guts; I assume most of them do. The important question is whether they are in a position to do anything about it. My affections, being concentrated over a few people, are not spread all over Hell in a vile attempt to placate sulky, worthless shits.” - William S Burroughs
