Running as a Democrat, Bloomberg has pledged to continue his gun-grabbing crusade if he becomes President. From his campaign website: At a time when elected officials from both parties ran from the NRA, Mike built national gun safety coalitions to take them on. He has spent years and hundreds of millions of dollars fighting gun violence and supporting successful campaigns for smart state safety laws. As president, Mike will continue to back common-sense policies that save lives. Translation: If you thought Mike has been hostile toward Second Amendment rights in the past, you ain't seen nothing yet. As President, he'll dial it up to 11 and use the powers of the Oval Office to ram draconian gun control down the throats of law-abiding Americans. We've already seen how radical Democrat candidates are this election cycle. "Beto" Francis O'Rourke made the left's intentions crystal clear by proclaiming full-throated support for mandatory firearm confiscation, saying, "Hell, yes, we're going to take your AR-15." And while some wave this off as rhetorical bluster by a floundering, and now defunct, candidate desperate for headlines, Bloomberg is dead serious. He has proven his willingness and ability to infringe on gun rights, pumping hundreds of millions of dollars into gun control efforts. In 2018 alone, Bloomberg spent $110 million to help elect anti-gun candidates. His donations helped create Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action, the conglomerate of gun control organizations behind ballot initiatives, state elections, lawsuits, and an ever-expanding array of political activity spanning national, state, and local government. Bloomberg's money represents a third of Everytown's massive budget and is the sole funding source of Independence USA, a political action committee that supports candidates and referenda in local, state and Federal races across the country, with a special focus on gun laws. Can you even imagine what a Bloomberg presidency would be like? He would push every imaginable gun control proposal as the most powerful office holder in the world. He would wage a "war on guns" turning gun control into a "public health crisis" and funneling tax-payer dollars into Orwellian government programs. He would appoint anti-gun judges to unravel the progress made in recent years and turn our court system against Constitutional rights. I would even expect him to appoint a "Gun Control Czar" to spearhead the attack on Second Amendment rights, perhaps even lead an effort to hold a Constitutional Convention and erase the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights entirely. Unlike other politicians who often use gun control as a talking point to advance their careers, Bloomberg is a true believer. He's all in on taking away your guns. Combine the power of the Presidency with a personal fortune that makes him the 9th richest person in the world, and Bloomberg represents an existential threat to Second Amendment rights. He is the single greatest threat gun owners have ever faced. Does Bloomberg have a real chance of getting the Democrat nomination? When you consider the party's breathless panic that Trump may win re-election, and their willingness to do anything and pay any political price to defeat him, the answer is "YES!" Maybe that's why Fannin county recently became a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary County. And Bloomie has ZERO chance of ever becoming POTUS. ZERO. The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable. ~ H. L. Mencken
Bloomberg would need a sanctuary city !
