It's a sad day: Private Internet Access was bought out by Kape Technology. To make matters worse, this is an Israeli ad-based company that is known for distributing malware. They have recently acquired Cyberghost VPN as well, which means a consolidation of service is probably around the corner. This completely ruins it's future and my trust in them as a company. I am canceling my service and all association with them, including affiliate links. Nothing bad has happened yet, but the writing is on the wall. PSA: Don't use apps from any VPN company and always initiate the connection with OpenVPN. I'll make another video about this and which VPNs are on my list of not to use... (Spoiler: NordVPN, PIA, and CyberGhost all are on the blacklist)
