We are entering Global Cooling. If we were to switch grains to ancient ones that had a short growing season, we might have enough food but Global Warming Gibberish is delaying a proper preparation for the future. Tens of millions could dies if we do not switch the debate to what we cam do to adapt to Global Cooling. During the Maunder Minimum (1645-1715), there were fewer sunspots and less solar radiance. Wheat prices rose as much as 400% in many years during the Maunder Minimum.
He mentions the Kondratiev Cycle which has its basis in economics since it is named after the Soviet economist Nikolai Kondratiev.
Kondratiev predicted the U.S. economy would recover in the late 30s. When it did, Stalin had him sentenced to hard labor. That was later changed to death.
From Dr. Ball's studies it seems the Kondratiev Wave also applies to weather patterns. But we all know it is the sunspot cycle that really controls weather patterns on Earth.
