I just had a client want me to help him hang Xmas lights. Didn't seem to understand that he didn't need an EE or AE to do that.

The price per hour was tempting though. $0.00/hr. Yeah, I turned it down.

I'd say have a nice holiday season to all, as well, but I've stopped openly celebrating holidays online until after they're over - maybe; or maybe not then either. It's not that I'd prefer to be thought dismissive or Grinchily rude about it. I still celebrate them offline, as usual, and quietly online and am always glad that others are cheerily having a nice celebration but it's the principle of the thing to me -- that people who'd like to respectfully celebrate Military commerative days in some moments of Peace are given no temporary truce at all by those who litterarily spit at our Protectors whenever and wherever they want to do that. I refuse to be confined to a private "Free Speech Zone" on those special occasions to be dismissive of their rudeness at those times. Sure, the Military would be the first to say that they defend everyone's right to Freedom of Speech every day, but the Freedom of Speech of others who are obnoxiously disrespectful and hateful isn't being obstructed and restricted to a "Free Speech" cell-block so as to not have to wade through what amounts to typed trash and slime to read, hear or say something appreciative about our Military. This is like my belated Armistice-Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Day combined protestings of the problem, I guess, but might peacefully protest the "woke" noisemakers in advance for Christmas this year.
