LONGMONT, Colo. -- More than two dozen students walked out of Skyline High School Friday morning to protest what they say is a ban that doesn't allow the American flag to be flown on school grounds. Several students said that they were upset that Mexican flags can be waved around but that American flags couldn't. They said that school officials confiscated their American flags because it has become inflammatory because of recent immigration issues. "What we want to know is since when was it against the rules to have an American flag on a car, in a car, in your hands in a school?" said student William Cassity. "When the immigration laws came out we noticed that a lot of Hispanics were waving Mexican flags and what we were thinking to ourselves is like, isn't the immigration law to stay in the country? You want to stay in America, correct? So I said, for every Mexican flag, you should have an American flag right next to it. So a few people went out and started waving American flags, and that's where everything bridged out," said Skyline student R.J. Fogal. "That's when they started telling us that we can't wave American flags, there's going to be no flags today, or everyone is going to be suspended -- whoever carries a flag." Students say that the Hispanic students are still allowed to hold up Mexican flags and wave it from their cars. 7NEWS is talking with school officials and will have more information as it becomes available.

when I was in college they had a big protest by Iranian students and it went on for hours, they were yelling loudly with microphone and people just listened calmly. then after 2-3 hours some americans started shouting back at them. then many americans joined and shouted back. then police came to shut everything down. Iranians protest - that's fine. americans protest - it is shut down. this story above is the same. schools - run by idiots.
These school officials need to have Mexican flags shoved up their asses. I may yet live to see this....I hope.

Looks like things will get hot in schools first. Teenage testosterone and energy will fuel emotions. Food fights will look so quaint.

I'm sorry to have to disagree, but this insult is going to be swallowed whole by a cowardly white America. The few people who do have the courage to stand us against invasion have been marginalized years ago. If we had courage we’d support a David Duke, or some other white nationalist, but I won’t be holding my breath. For some he carries "too much baggage" (translation: he made a few youthful mistakes, but since he's white there is no forgiveness). So, that said, it’s time to kiss our flag, nation and collective asses goodbye.
I think it depends on what part of the country you're talking about. If you're talking about the coasts - yeah, nobody's gonna do squat. they'll intellecualize or rationalize it and end up begging for mercy from some bastard who's gonna cut their throats. The middle of the country and the south might be a different story - those folks might well fight back. It's the American govt and establishment that will be the problem as they always support anybody but their own kind.

I live in the Midwest. The East and West Coasts are irrelevant. Without the Midwest and the South they'd be insignificant coastal states, like Chile'. And no, this Mexican stuff won't fly in the Midwest or South. In the long-run both will be what's saves this country, and it won't be through an an-KKK, ex- con like David Duke.
