Title: New Zealand has Confiscated 50,000 Guns Since the Post-Christchurch Ban

It turns out it isn’t really very hard to get an entire country of white people to hand over all of its guns to the government.

I don’t know if this means that Alex Jones is wrong, or if New Zealanders are just pussies. But based on the New Zealanders I’ve met in my life – none of whom appeared to be pussies – it seems to me that Alex Jones is probably just wrong.

I don’t think gun confiscation in the United States will be much harder than this.

AP:

New Zealand authorities said Saturday their country will be a safer place after owners handed in more than 50,000 guns during a buyback program following a ban on assault weapons. But critics say the process was flawed and many owners have illegally stashed their firearms.

The government banned the most lethal types of semi-automatic weapons less than a month after a lone gunman in March killed 51 worshippers at two Christchurch mosques. The police then launched a six-month program to buy the newly banned weapons from owners.

The buyback ended midnight Friday, with gun collection events staying open late as police reported in a surge in last-minute returns.

Provisional figures indicate 33,000 people handed in 51,000 guns, and another 5,000 guns as part of a parallel amnesty in which owners could hand over any type of firearm without any questions being asked but without getting compensated.

Owners also modified another 2,700 guns to make them legally compliant, while police said they had seized a further 1,800 guns from gangs since March. And police said they’re in the process of collecting another 1,600 guns from gun dealers.

Police Minister Stuart Nash told reporters Saturday that criminals would find it harder to get their hands on assault weapons because they tended to steal them from lawful owners, but those weapons would now be out of circulation.

Wow, great argument.

“We made it so criminals can’t get guns by making it so law-abiding citizens can’t get guns.”

One thing we can say for certain is that this will be used as an example when the US wants to confiscate people’s guns.

They will say “like they did in New Zealand.”

Just like in England, it did not stop crime. Attacks rose with knifes and clubs. It will not be long until it comes to the US of A.

I was talking with an old boy at the local Wal Mart when Obummer was still POTUS.

I told him, "Obama wants the U.N. to control our guns."

He said, "We'll never give up our guns. That's the way we are."

There's a lot of them like that out there.

Also, be mindful of the time during WW II when the Japs wanted to invade mainland America.

Yamamoto had attended University here. He told them, "It would be a bad idea. There would be a man with a rifle BEHIND EVERY BLADE OF GRASS." ;)

Reba McIntyre had a gun buy back at one of her concerts a few years back. That got the criminal guns off the street.

If you had a gun you did a shooting with, what better way to get rid of it for a few bucks with no questions asked. ;)

Reba McIntyre had a gun buy back at one of her concerts a few years back.

That surprises me - In 2017 she said she doesn't politicize her concerts.

Reba McEntire Reveals Unexpected View On Politics

The country superstar stopped by the set of The View earlier and dished out her thoughts on politics as an entertainer.

A guest host on today’s show (Wednesday, February 8th), Reba McEntire sat down with the the fellow ladies to discuss all sorts of current events and happenings – including, of course, politics.

When Joy Behar, who was filling in for Whoopi Goldberg as moderator, brought up an event involving politics and entertainers, Reba wasn’t afraid to speak her mind.

Addressing singer Drake’s recent political rant at one of his concerts, Reba explained that she looks at politics in a very different way.

“I take it this way: They have paid their hard-earned money to come in there and fill a seat — parking, getting something at the concession stand, go and eat before the concert — I am there to entertain them, to take their worries away from them, so when they walk out, they can kind of have a little lift in their step and [go], ‘Aw, that was such a great break from all the problems I have to deal with during daily life.’ So I’m not going to give them my political views.”

When asked if she had ever been shy about revealing her political position out of fear that she might lose her fans, Reba confessed that hadn’t really ever been a concern.

“That’s not as important as this is my job to entertain. It shouldn’t be my platform to be up on stage giving my political views.”

Seems to me that promoting a gun-buyback at a concert IS expressing a political view.

When we worked concert security in Chicago, we were doing a show at Medusa's. That was a juice bar on Sheffield about a mile south of Wrigley Field.

One time a black guy walks up to the front door. He puts his right hand in his jacket pocket. The boss puts his right hand in his jacket pocket and says, "OK, you got a gun and I got a gun."

Tiny was right behind the black guy and had the drop on him.

Someone always had to have the beanie. ROTFLOL

"Tiny"?

Let me guess - about 6'4", 250 lbs, built like an NFL lineman?

Back when I was still playing in bands, I met a few bouncers named Tiny.

Tiny was so big and fat that once we were working a concert at the World Music Theater in Tinley Park, Illinois.

Some kid down front punched him the gut and all he did was laugh. ;)

Some other bouncer might have done more than just laugh.

The buyback ended midnight Friday

The term "buyback" is a psy-op; the government never owned the gun in the first place, so the government can't buy it back from you.

Red flag laws are already here and police have already murdered people that legally owned guns, to confiscate their guns on hear say bullshit and red flag authorizations.

We've already crossed the Rubicon.
