I take ginger, garlic, black pepper, turmeric and curry every day in my daily cooked meal. I also take cayenne and green tea. They are all thermogenic and benefit the cell which needs the heat. Taking 5 saunas a week has been proven to reduce all categories of morbidity except for accidental death. It's the heat.

I think the key is introducing heat at the cellular level.
If you have a low body temperature when you wake up, you might have low metabolism as I do. Solaray makes a thyroid capsule that should correct you metabolism and raise your body temp so you can lose weight and produce more heat at the cellular level. Solaray doesn't break down the ingredients amounts, but I'm guessing that the cayenne is the most beneficial to get things kick-started.
