It is said that the earth spins at 1000 MPH in order for one revolution to occur each day (as the earth is said to be 25,000 miles in circumference. Then it is also said that the earth (solar system) travels through the universe at 60,000 mph. I am wondering "where is the breeze" ?

The rotation speed at the poles is zero but there is always a wind factor.

Gee whiz, I wonder why people aren't crushed to death when they travel 500 mph in jets, or even at 70 mph in cars.

BTW, did you know there's no air in space?
