Fox News host Tucker Carlson reacted to news of the death of a top Iranian military leader by warning viewers against “reckless and incompetent” proponents of war with Iran.

As news of the death of Iran’s Quds Force General Qasem Soleimani during an airstrike near Baghdad’s airport broke during Thursday night’s broadcasting of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the Fox News host observed that the United States “appears to be lumbering toward a new Middle East war,” one that “official Washington has wanted for decades.”

Carlson opined that “disgraced [former] National Security Advisor John Bolton has made it his life’s mission to start a war with Iran” and could be “finally getting his wish.”

“Should you be happy about that?” Tucker asked rhetorically. “That’s the question. Well, the last time we took John Bolton’s advice in the region, Iran became far more powerful than before we took John Bolton’s advice. Why? Because things are never quite as simple as they claim they are in Washington.”

The Fox News host contended that those “demanding action against Iran” are the same people who demand that the American public ignores “the invasion of America now in progress from the South, the millions, the tens of millions of foreign nationals living among us illegally, the torrent, more significantly of Mexican narcotics that has killed and disabled entire generations of Americans.” (RELATED: Tucker Takes Aim At ‘Bureaucratic Tapeworm’ John Bolton For Fomenting War With Iran)

“‘Pay no attention to all of that,’ these very same people tell us,” he concluded. “‘The real threat is Iran.’ Well, they’re liars, and they don’t care about you, they don’t care about your kids. They are reckless and incompetent, and you should keep all of that in mind as war with Iran looms closer.”

With Trump in command, Carlson is looking for shadows at noontime.

We need to ask Carlson if it bothers him because Trump made the decision and he has not got the guts to attack Trump directly.

I suspect he has not the guts to attack Trump....Coward...

We should all be bothered by Trump's decision.

Late Thursday night, without any congressional authorization, president Donald Trump ordered and carried out the assassination of one of the most powerful people in Iran

Trump's game plan it appears is to follow the Clinton-Bush-Obama Playbook, Making America Great Again by following the neocon plan for endless war.

Say - I thought Trump's intention was to destroy the deep state, not do their bidding.

Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump.

The names have changed but the insane warmongering neocon policies remain the same.

I'm bothered by the constant war drums beaten by Neocons. If they can't involve us in perpetual war, they aren't happy.

We should all doubt the "official" narrative that this was indeed "Trump's decision." WHY? Because very same State Dept and Alphabet DS intel who launched a coup and attempted to sabotage the Election of Donald Trump lack ANY cred. Tucker Carlson is taking heat for merely seeing through the haze of BS.

Moreover...

Shouldn't the possibility that Israel is actually the facilitator of the drone-strike? Afterall, it appears Trump believes IT is part of the US.

Did Israel have the motivation and reason to do this?

Soleimani increased Iranian threats to Israel before death

Soleimani was outspoken on August 26 when he said that these were the “last struggles” Iran would have with Israel. It was part of rising Iranian rhetoric threatening Israel with destruction. The head of the IRGC Hossein Salami said in September that destroying Israel was no longer just a dream. Soleimani said that “these insane operations are absolutely the last struggles of the Zionist regime” in August. In the wake of those comments Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had warned Soleimani and Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah to “be careful,” on August 28.

It appears so.

If Carlson is objective, why not hang the collar on the man that said, ""I made the decision"""???

Simple reason, his ratings. Moral and ratings coward.

Honestly?

Because he (like myself) realizes that Trump did not actually make this decision. AND...that the same agencies who conspired against Trump -- aka the State Dept and Alphabet Agy - have NO cred whatsoever.

Did you expect Trump to say something like, "I was ordered by my puppet-masters -- the Israel, our State Dept and our Globalist-run Alphabet Agencies -- that that to maintain the illusion of a functioning "Presidency" *I* inform you the American people, that this inanity was MY decision as your CiC alone."??

Good or bad decision, Trump has said he will take the credit or the fall.

For sake of discussion, lets consider Iran may decide to be nice and NOT escalate tensions.

That being the case, should Carlson give the credit to those around Trump, or to Trump???

If Iran does some dastardly deed, who gets the blame???
