Hey there overlord. We used to have 8 hours to edit our stuff. Just noticed during an over look that it has been reduced to 4 hours. Any reason for that? Personally. Ive always wished for 24 hours to edit. A day seems fair to me but th3 standard was 8 and i was ok with that.

Nowits 4 hoers.

Four.

Ok well thats your3 opinion man

But if we can't make it 24 hours can we at least keep it at eight?

Rarely have I ever done something breaking newsworthy but on occasion ive been privileged. Justin carter remains a freeman. Others here do stuff too. Just saying 8 hours seems more generous and better than 4... still i would like to advocate for a senable 24 hour cycle. For correction ajd retraction But that's just me and my humble opinion.

I just went through all the settings at one point and made a couple changes as I saw fit. I guess that was one of them.

The problem with an extensive edit window is that any changes made might not be noticed, because the Latest Comments page doesn't bump edited comments to the top. Anyone you've pinged to a comment may have already seen the comment before you changed it and will have no clue that your post may have changed. For that reason, it's better if you make any correction with a new comment if too much time has gone by.

If it were up to me, (and well I guess it is, isn't it?) and I was really nit- picking on this, I'd reduce it further to 15 or 30 mins. I think most such edits are made right after posting as people tend to proof read it then and make changes immediately. That's what I do, at least.

I don't know Neil. They allow edits on Facebook, but I have not paid attention to how long they leave the window open. ;)
