Virginia Officials Will Not Recognize “2nd Amendment Sanctuary Cities” And Will Take Action Despite Sheriffs And Militias Vowing To Fight Back

Chris “Badger” Thomas RIGHT WING TRIBUNE–OPINION

VIRGINIA- There’s a lot of chatter about what’s happening in Virginia, both in terms of the incoming legislators as well as what’s happening at the ground level. We’ve also seen very little chatter about it in the media.

As of the time of this report, more than 100 Virginia cities and counties have declared themselves gun sanctuaries as Democrats in the state prepare to take legislature attacking the Second Amendment, Law Enforcement Today reports.

Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring issued an advisory opinion meant to be a reminder to residents that such “sanctuary” resolutions had no standing.

“It is my opinion that these resolutions have no legal effect,” Herring said.

His comments were made in a letter issued Friday.

“It is my further opinion that localities and local constitutional officers cannot nullify state laws and must comply with gun violence prevention measures that the General Assembly may enact.”

A sense of urgency has washed over Virginia gun rights activists as Gov. Ralph Northam promises to pass “common sense gun safety legislation” with the help of the new Democratic majority in the legislature that was elected on Nov. 5.

Northam has proposed several bills that have been killed in previous years by a GOP-held General Assembly. Now, with Democrats in the majority, he’ll likely succeed in passing these eight bills:

Gov. Northam is lighting a fire that may not be easily put out. And Bloomberg's big money is adding to the friction.

“It is my further opinion that localities and local constitutional officers cannot nullify state laws and must comply with gun violence prevention measures that the General Assembly may enact.”

Why? Is there any criminal or civil punishment they can be hit with? Can they be fired? Is there state funding to the counties that could be cut off?

Seems all enforcement will fall to state police alone, and those barracks chiefs may very well not comply, not out of political disagreement but out of safety concerns.

I think the State is falling back on the pre-Civil War doctrine of southern states to nullify federal legislation they did not agree with.

Of course Gov Northham, with the help of the now majority Democrat state house and de Blasio's cash injections is starting a fire that will not so easily be put out. The Virginia National Guard may be mobilized before this all comes to an end. ;)

Governor Blackface is pissing into the wind on this one.

VIRGINIA OFFICIALS are employees of a private corporation under the corporations of The Vatican [Jewish] and The City of London [Jewish]. Queen Elizabeth [Jewish] acknowledged The City of London as Mystery Babylon the Great. [ www.savethemales.ca/bohemian_grove_illuminati_meet.html ]. They are squatters on God's land. Maybe some of us need to brush up on "coming out of Babylon".

I know you have been trying to wake us all up to this for years. Old habits die hard :}

I don't know if this article is 100% accurate, but it's another start.

the State [of Virginia] is falling back on the pre-Civil War doctrine of southern states to nullify federal legislation they did not agree with.

The pre-Civil War doctrine of southern states was to peacefully secede from the rogue form of Federal government that northern politicians were subversively enacting to selectively "nullify"/suspend/supplant the Constitution by refusing to uphold it and State's Rights thereof if they didn't happen to feel like doing so.

Fugitive Slave Clause - Wikipedia

The Fugitive Slave Clause of the United States Constitution, also known as either the Slave Clause or the Fugitives From Labor Clause, is Article IV, Section 2, Clause 3, which requires a "person held to service or labor" (usually a slave, apprentice, or indentured servant) who flees to another state to be returned to his or her master in the state from which that person escaped. ... [South Carolina] accused Northern states of flagrantly violating it, going as far as naming specific states.

Democrats are too cowardly to admit that they are in national rebellion against the U.S. Constitution. Nonetheless, they are secessionists from America's rightful form of government -- not the Constitutionalist citizens of Virginia.
