Because Asia is crowded. People and birds live side by side with hogs. Birds pooping in your drinking water. Hogs next tour house if not inside. people and birds and hogs exchange diseases. And they eat bats and anything that slithers, slides, flies or walks.

Seems to me that the wogs may be "escaping" from their germ warfare lab over there, just in time for our FLU! FLU! FLU! season here, it happens every year.

More likely is that it originated in the US at DARPA and released there to blame them. The US is reeling under the burden of Unpayable Debts created by the FED. And we have no means of competing with China's New Silk Road initiative. The Chinese invested $100 billion in Africa. What did we do? We sent them our mercenaries from Boko Haram and Al Qaeda to behead Christians. And we set up drone bases to assassinate the Africans who do not like Washington DC Swamp Creatures.
