Goldwater was not born in the US, so he could not be president, just like Obama. Reagan grew government, started tax on Social Security money, his people pulled off a scam to get him elected, Reagan build up the US military, Reagan condemned all people working for the US government.
And they forced him to take George H.W. Bush as his Vice President. Then John Hinckley tried to kill Reagan so Bush the Elder could be President. Why not? It worked for LBJ. ;)
