Ronald Reagan speech supporting the Republican Presidential nominee Barry Goldwater. Reagan speaks of big government, high taxation, War, liberalism, socialism. He addresses foreign policy issues including the risk of appeasement, peace through strength. The speech establishes Reagan as an important figure in the conservative wing of the Republican party.

To a significant degree, Ronald Reagan's election to the presidency stems from this speech. The speech remains amazingly fresh as a statement of modern American conservative philosophy four decades after it was delivered.

Sadly what he was warning us about is coming true more than ever today...!

Goldwater was not born in the US, so he could not be president, just like Obama. Reagan grew government, started tax on Social Security money, his people pulled off a scam to get him elected, Reagan build up the US military, Reagan condemned all people working for the US government.

And they forced him to take George H.W. Bush as his Vice President. Then John Hinckley tried to kill Reagan so Bush the Elder could be President. Why not? It worked for LBJ. ;)
