When I lived in Chicago, a buddy of mine got beat up pretty bad. Myself and a friend broke up the fight. There were six of the others there including the guy that beat up my friend.
It was no joy facing down six guys, but the two of us had a reputation and we upheld it.
The guy that got beat up joined the Marines. He was in Beirut when the barracks was bombed. Lucky he was not in there when it came crashing down.
After he got out he joined the DEA. He told me some great stories about our fearless leaders and drugs. I bet all of that evidence has been lost long ago. ;)
