Ancient Geeks told their children that the earth was round and proved it by taking them to the port to watch ships come into harboe. If the earth is flat uou would see the entire ship on the horizon. Because you see only the mast first this proves the earth is gradually curved. This knowledge originated with the Egyptians.

The ancient Hindus had a holy mountain called Mt Meru. It was at the South Pole before it moved. In the Mahabharata of which the Gita is a part, they spoke of a Civil War amongst the ancient Aryans. Millions of soldiers died daily. Then someone used nuclear weapons and God got pissed off and moved the poles. There is evidence of an ancient nuclear war in the Libyan desert, Atlantis was a series of 5 islands in the Atlantic. They were deluged by tidal waves. Survivors took over Egypt. Curious phrase by the ABC "news" author. Hughes, who believed the Earth is flat.... The snicker from ABC News editors and other angry Heliocentrist Globalsts is clearly audible. Well, at least they didn't preface his death with, "Hughes, who believed God created man..." OR... "Hughes, who believed life begins in the womb..." The truth is the vast majority of civilization *knew* the earth was a plane...and domed. If the earth is flat uou would see the entire ship on the horizon. Because you see only the mast first this proves the earth is gradually curved. This knowledge originated with the Egyptians. I don't know from whom original theory this is claimed, but it is easily proven that the horizon that is seen with the naked eye is NOT "the horizon." NOR is there any curve -- but we've been through all this. Telephoto lens quickly "pull back" a typical ship or object back from its supposed dip "below" the "curve." Telephoto lens even "see" objects that are far beyond the expected hidden position (normal "sightline = 3 miles or so.) The accepted formula for a "curved earth" obviously does not work, nor does it apply in practical applications. Chicago's skyline is routinely seen from across Lake Michigan from the state of Michigan. According the accepted "scientific" curvature formula, this is impossible. WATER IS FLAT. It does NOT "curve" regardless of the surface below. "Science" continues to cite the impossible as "fact." One theory regarding pyramids and moving massive blocks of stone: Biblical Giants. Another: Fallen Angel "technology" (levitation and harnessing magnetic forces.) Aaah -- you win! (Ancient Alien = Fallen Angels/Giants) (see Post #9) LOL!!!! I suppose you think air is flat too. BTW, have you ever heard of a place called Niagara Falls? I hear the water doesn't look too "flat" there. 😅😅😅😅 You know I was wondering if you'd be posting here today or in the future, figured you might have been the guy who the story is about. So when are you going to follow in his footsteps? The truth is the vast majority of civilization *knew* the earth was a plane...and domed. Some even thought the earth was supported by a giant turtle. Is that part of your belief as well? As far back as several thousand years ago the vast majority of the civilized world knew the earth was spherical. Contrary to your views, the early Christian church also knew it was spherical. The skyline can be visible further than the horizon as the skyscrapers are hundreds of feet tall. List of tallest buildings in Chicago At a distance of 6 miles, the earth would have curved 6 feet below a person's view of the horizon if he were 6 feet tall. From Can you see Chicago from Michigan? So it might mystify you, but for the same reason we can see mountains far away, Chicago can be seen from 6 miles away. On rare occasions, the Chicago skyline can actually be seen from about 60 miles away due to temperature inversions. Again, not a mystery. Well I guess he finally proved to himself that gravity does in fact exist.
What flat earthers fear is sphere itself!
