Trump DESTROYS Obama New Hampshire Turnout Numbers

Conservative Peak 2 days ago 2 min read

(ConservativePeak.com) – You might not have realized it, but the Republican Party is still hosting primaries. Even with an incumbent president and very little in the way of competition, the party holds a vote to ensure that registered supporters and voters still want President Donald Trump to be the candidate.

And the numbers show they certainly do.

Republican voters still turned out in huge numbers to support the president, despite having no real competition. At 86% reporting, Trump had over 117,000 votes in the New Hampshire primary, more than double the 49,080 former President Barack Obama achieved back in 2012.

Those who remember the enthusiasm for America’s first black president will recognize the nature of this incredible achievement. President Donald Trump is treated as if he is one of the most divisive and unpopular presidents in history, but the voters keep proving the media pundits wrong.

Brad Parscale, the official Trump campaign manager, said on Twitter that the enthusiasm for the president is “through the roof!”

“President Trump has surpassed the New Hampshire primary vote total of every incumbent President running for re-election over the last four decades.”

An incredible feat, right?

Enthusiasm for @realDonaldTrump is through the roof!

With approximately, 70% of precincts reporting, President Trump has surpassed the New Hampshire Primary vote total of every incumbent President running for re-election over the last four decades.

— Brad Parscale – Text TRUMP to 88022 (@parscale) February 12, 2020 The president even beat his own record over 2016, when he received 110,717 votes total.

Former Republican President George W. Bush received barely any more than incumbent Obama in 2004, taking 52,962 in total.

The numbers demonstrate President Trump’s ability to maintain his base and even build on his momentum even in the second election. The positivity and energy from his Make America Great Again campaign are translating into his new Keep America Great campaign, and if independent voters feel the same, it could see him winning more states when he goes up against likely Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders.

A statement released by the Republican party said:

“The Democratic story in New Hampshire is the continued dominance of big government socialist policies and the success of their standard bearer, Bernie Sanders. No matter which Democrat eventually emerges from their months-long dumpster fire of a primary process, we know the contrast will be President Trump’s record of accomplishment and optimistic view of the future versus Democrats and their socialist, job-killing agenda.”

That turnout is hugely significant. Makes me hope Tulsi is not the VP pick.

VP for Bernie?

Tulsi has made it pretty clear that she's an ally of Sanders. She'd be a good pick for Sanders as she bridges divides and can win Sanders some independent/third party votes. So yes, if Sanders gets the nomination, the chances of him picking Tulsi are well into the double digits, in my view.
