Poster Comment:

We were working stage security at Garth Brooks in Iowa City back in the early 90s. I was standing on front corner of stage left. People were bringing up gifts for Garth and we would put them on corner of stage.

Garth came over to pick them up. When he leaned over, he whacked me in the hat with the head of his guitar.

That was about the time they took the picture that ended up on Page One, Section 2 of the Des Moines Register.

I open the hotel rook door the morning of the 2nd show to get some breakfast. The door across the hall was open. There was a girl in that room and when she saw me she started pointing and shouting, "IT'S YOU! IT'S YOU!"

She comes running out with the newspaper pointing at it and still shouting, IT'S YOU! CAN I HAVE YOUR AUTOGRAPH?"

So I sign the paper for her and then go downstairs and clean out the paper machine.

Her BF wanted to come down to the corner of stage to take a picture. I saw him standing by the gate and waved him down. I looked away and when I looked back the cop was hustling him up the stairs. He came down the stairs and almost knocked the cop flat.

The cop threw him out. Someone let him back in. I told him, "Listen. I said you could come down and take a picture. I didn't say you could be drunk." ROTFLMAO!
