And I'm having more fun than should be allowed! I guess I'm at my best when everyone else is in despair. I've been through the end-of-the-world probably a thousand times now. Let's have some fun and list all the times we've survived the apocalypse! I'll start y'all off with some stuff in the "Poster Comments". Feel free to chime in. Poster Comment: Cold War, Sputnik, Leica the dog in space, Yuri Gagarin in space, JFK, 60s in general, Nuclear arms race, Gulf of Tonkin and the Vietnam War, Arab Oil Embargo, my father dying, Watergate, Legionaries disease, Herpes, AIDS, countless flu scares, Ebola, killer bees, pollution, lead-based gasoline, countless financial crises (2008 being the worst I recall), Hunt Bros silver scam, 9/11 (changed everything), Jimmy Carter, George Bush (both of them), Bill & Hillary Clinton, Obama, Beirut Marine BLT bombing, Grenada, Iraq, Afghanistan, DHS, Waco, the Weavers, Jim Jones, losing my step-father to malpractice (big pharma), ObamaCare, taking my mother's car away, MDs telling my now ex-wife that I wouldn't survive when Texting-Woman hit me head-on, having to put Mom in hospice so they could put her to sleep with their drugs, Y2K, losing my best friend (a genius electrical engineer) to a stroke, losing my neighbor by choking on a sandwich, another to cancer, losing five friends to suicide in a two year period, losing ALL my dogs, most to old age, one of cancer, one to vaccines, two to divorce, losing my new soul-mate, losing my younger sister to sepsis, getting a high five-figure check from her trust fund that should've gone to the government, etc. I suppose that I could go on, but my typing finger is tired. Covid19, ChinaVirus, WuFlu? Sheeit, wake me up when the death tool is in the millions. This old man is going to die, I want to do it standing up. That was just off the top of my head, feel free to add more end-of the-world scenarios. Cancelled elections, impending civil wars, and every other not-yet-happened "crisis" doesn't count. Have fun, life is short.

Well, I think we have seen the end of the world -- the end of the sane, civilized world, anyway. You've hoed some pretty long, hard rows. I hope you have some good friends left in your life these days.
