#1. To: Pingunite, everyone bitchin about not using the share function on EweToob (#0)(Edited)
Neil, this is what happens now when I try to use the "share" thingy on my late Mom's "old person" computer called a Telekin. It's probably circa early 2000s. Linux based. I'd guess telikin no longer exists.
It was supposed to update and take care of all the stuff that oldsters might not have been quite up to speed on. I'll poke around this thing and see what I can find for you, but it's supposed to be idiot-proof. Not sure how much I'll find.
It used to work. Can't tell you when it stopped, or why.
Thanks brutha!
OK, here we go, the friggin' thing wouldn't let me cut & paste...

If any of this nonsense shouldn't be published, you have my permission to delete-at-will.
I'm thinkin' you, like my late best friend Kurt, might be a rabid digit- bender and might find this a challenge. If not, forget it, delete-at- will and be safe.
I know this is TEOTWAWKI. Being here 40some years at the first joint I built, never have birds (sparrows) tried to invade my space. For the last couple days, they've been invading my attached garage trying to build nests.
Didn't think too much about it yesterday, but today, they're absolutely pissed and keep coming back. I'm no ornithologist, but this is strange as hell.

That would be a software issue unrelated to the hardware as a hardware failure would result in much more severe types of problems. I'm not familiar with the distribution of Linux, but if it was working and stopped then a few things are possible.
1) Some data on the computer got messed up that impairs the browser software from working right. A fix would be to uninstall and reinstall the browser, or try a different web browser.
2) An update to the computer operating system was buggy. Updates are frequently released and nearly always bug free, but... almost isn't always. Solution is to install a different OS, maybe cinnamon, or simply wait a few days or weeks for a new update to fix that problem.
Keep in mind that updates for any distribution only go on for a certain period of time, maybe a year or three. If your OS distribution is no longer supported than it means no further updates will be done, but also likely rules out the possibility that an update caused the problem.
3) Changes to the server. As with your system, the server also has occasional updates done to it. I'm running another one right now so maybe that would fix the problem.
That's pretty much it. Without having more detailed info about what happens when you try to post or cut n paste, I can't speculate much beyond that. But try again after you see this as the server update is complete.
PS: Please note the "i" in my screen name (Pinguinite) as I only happened to see your post to me. Thanks.
